Give Rain Uncurse Ring a
I guess you didn't have the Uncurse Ring B for 25% instead of the 10% on A. I have one in my inventory, but didn't use it, although I can see it might be a very good idea.
I actually had the one that gave 50%, which I typed as Uncurse Ring a but it's not actually the letter "a." It's some funky symbol.
Scene: the conference room where the game developers are meeting:
Developer 1: OK, this is the last boss, the last battle, so what should be the reward? How about a deluxe megatron zray confabulator?
Developer 2: We used that in Zylo 3: The Awakening.
Developer 3: Hey guys, isn't it obvious? We want them to continue playing, so that maybe they will want to buy something....
Developer 1: Yep, that's our job, and we know how to do it! There really is only one aspect of the game that we KNOW they could not have conquered . . .
Developer 2: Gotcha! I wish I could see their faces when they see what they get! It is the only thing that makes financial sense, even if it doesn't make game sense.
Fade out....
This......this......this makes.......this totally makes sense ya know.
Here is a question that relates to many boss battles: does INT have ANY impact on the probability that a character might evade a status ailment? That is, is it equal probability that when I am attacked with (say) poison and I am INT 100 or INT 9999 that the poison takes hold?
Here is what the help says: "INT: spiritual strength (affects attacks with staffs and enemy magic effects."
IF INT helps defend against status ailments, I might try loading up on that to battle ENNA. Not sure what I'd trade off, however.
Answering my own question: I did a battle against Enna (again) on Normal after pushing INT up on all my characters (to around 6000 on each). It didn't seem to make any difference--the status ailments were just as frequent.. However...I did get a better feel for how to fight ENNA (I won again):lots of speed to get more turns, mega heal and then just reanimate as needed. I did try using "Full Aura" item, and fever rings, and that wasn't particularly successful. Next try, but probably not today, is push up SPD (that's not easy--SPD seems to be not as frequent as HP, STR, etc.). If that seems to work on normal, then I will take a swing, with little hope for victory, on Hard.

What would A high SPD would do? You might get more turns though but If you won't have a STR of 8000 on Hard, you wont make a dent on her HP.
