Sorry.. Thunderhead Mines are the first dungeon. It's a simple area.

Depths of Kalgor is the dungeon I had in mind although the way to it is a long one.

I didn't have time to play today for several hours so I decided I'll try to get as far as I can in Arena.

32!  My best is 8.  But that's a very weak prize for so many boss-like victories.  Doesn't seem worth it, except for practice in battle. I think your exploit in the arena is solid proof that, at least at high levels, the arena is of no value.  And to top that, you don't even cash in your Gems!!!

I just looted 13 hidden areas around THundraka.  I did not go up even one level!  I got a little bit of useful equipment, but almost all the spells are for much higher level use.  I may have to sell some of them as they take up a lot of inventory space.  Next I think are some mines, and another horrible backtracking dungeon.  I need to stock my consumables before I head out from Thundraka.

I made a screenshot and left because Round 31 almost killed everyone. So at that time I took the Gems. Enemies aren't having huge amounts of HP but they have huge damage dealing attacks.

Sell Every spell unless it's a better option for your Cleric or Sorcerer once they get the required level. You're maybe 10-20h away from where I am :)

I can't imagine a 279 level monster of the type you defeated in the arena.

I'm a slow player, so it will be more hours than that to advance.  And you have better insights and tactics than I do, so I'm sure I will have a slower climb.

I don't have many spells below my level left in my inventory.  I'm still at level 83 and Juggernaut at 75.

The Arena at level 110 very slowly gets more difficult. Up to Stage 20 there were no problems aside from Regen wearing out.

I made it through the first section of Thunderhead Mines and opened the shortcut to Thundraka.  Eventually I guess the story will let me in through the remaining staircase in the Mines so I can get the last 4 treasures.

I went through the Mines at level 84 (Juggernaut at 75/76) and although the dungeon path wasn't complicated, it was a tough go.  Except for Warrior, everybody else died several times.  I usually can survive the death of Sorcerer, but not Cleric.  Some of those monsters, if they go first, can one hit kill my spell casters.  And it take me several turns to defeat some of the defense minded monsters.  But I did make it through, although I don't see how I can manage a boss at these levels.

I think I should do some grinding before venturing back into the Mines.  At 84 I feel rather underpowered (and Juggernaut at 76 is quite vulnerable to strong attacks).

I guess I don't have luck with the drops today.. Tried to get the Essences for 3h and got nothing :(

This Boss is difficult just because he can 1-hit kill anyone.. If not for that I would be able to defeat it..

That does make it tough.  And with such along battle, I'm sure the boss gets plenty of chances to use his death blow.

Of course at my low levels many monsters (not just bosses) can 1-hit my spell casters, so I get plenty of practice trying to survive that.  I went to Larkwood and pushed everybody up a level, so I'm going to try the next boss tonight, even though I am probably still underpowered.

My party, after a few false starts, defeated Zeffrin.  I'm still at lev 85, but with the right tactics, it was not a hard battle.  With my initial wrong tactics, well....

Anyway, I'm not sure what comes next, but that's it for today.  Good luck finding some strange voodoo to overcome the one-hit wonder.
