The Amount of Meteorites you get in Hell Dungeon is too darn high...... seriously, all I am getting are Meteorites in Treasures, Enemy Steal and Drops lol
I think Azyleo's method could be good for the game itself (up to the actual ending.) Because honestly any weapon with a high enough ATK will destroy even the final boss. And a Light Sword is base ATK 20, vs the strongest sword base ATK 120. So +999 on either one = annihilation.

I doubt the skill on the weapon would really matter.

The burning question is can you beat Enna with a +999 Light Sword, and I'm not sure I want to put in the effort to find that out.

But leveling a Light Sword would make grinding in Fairy land a snap. Especially if you a good pre emptive to go with it.

Edit: meteorites galore in the Hell dungeon.
I'm not sure what +999 means. If +999 is literally what it is, and not standing in for something else, well, 1000 isn't much. And I had weapons like that in Dogma, and they didn't just carve through the Guild Hero. Maybe +999 isn't truly a numeric, but means something like "max" atk? But it didn't seem to be the case in Dogma. It was quite easy to kill the normal bosses in Savior with str +400 or more on the weapons. The 400 is of course 400%, so perhaps the +999 is also some sort of percent and not the numeric 999.

I do like Azyleo's approach, as it would certainly reduce the grinding.

I did some quick checking of both Dogma and Savior. ATK is simply the sum of str+weapon (base with the addition of the +). An example from Dogma:
Caine str 9999 Calliburn +999 (240+999)
so 9999+240+999=atk 11238 which in fact is what the status screen shows

What does this tell me? Caine hit Guild Hero with everything he had and ...well you know, Guild Hero didn't exactly disappear. In Savior, I have Rain with status over 1500 for two weapons, and although it was easy to slice through most of the bosses, there were a few that could take repeated multi hits from Rain (that boss at the end of the Hard Dungeon could take a lot of punishment).

More to the point, it does confirm what Commander and Azyleo have figured out: the base of the weapon is obviously small relative to the +999, so just build up the cheapest weapon possible. BUT...the SP of the skill may still be critical, and I don't know how much difference 2 or 3 times the SP makes, so the cheaper weapon might not be as effective in the killer boss battles as a stronger weapon built up to something far less than +999. Hard to say, but possible to do a test, if Azyleo is willing to do it (he has the stuff to quickly build up a Light Sword). Take such a weapon up against any of the fairy land heroes and see what one swing does (try Fleon--if you haven't built up enough speed, you might not get more than one swing). Or if anybody has one like it for Dogma, the Guild Hero awaits.

I'll see what I can do, after I hit level 100 and fight Amano Amano with Fleon.

Nah didn't work as expected. You need skills to beat Fleon, as well as some awesome weapons. I for one have not equipped special weapons ( And I don't even have the Special Story weapons, not to mention I'm still on Sora lols ).

Wow, Fantastic you took the time to experiment! Thanks so much. Wonderful of you to fool with issue. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Commander posed a very interesting question, so thanks to both of you for giving us something to think about.

Yes, these guys are too much like Guild Hero in Dogma--you have to be plenty SPD to have a chance, and of course you will suffer plenty of status impairments. I hit him hard a couple of times with some big weapons, but he was just getting too many turns before I got one.

So either SPD or perhaps damage reduction might work, as you could use 2 weapons (so 4 damage reducers) and still have one power weapon available. Not worth the time investment for me.

To repeat my appreciation for your trying this out: :cheer: :cheer: :) :) :silly: :silly: :cheer: :cheer: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Astounding! All of us bow down before your awesome power and determination!! I guess your level was high enough to get your turns in, and that's one big hitter of a weapon. If we didn't already have a Commander, we would ask you to be Commander in Chief.
