Destroyer battle necessary to game?

After having a humiliating experience with the Destroyer in the treasure chest, I was wondering if leaving the treasure chest alone would make it harder to progress in the game, or if the diamond scale didn’t affect your progress much. (As of right now, I don’t know what a Diamond Scale does or how it affects your stats & stuff.)

So does anyone know? (If this is a pretty stupid reason to start a topic, then sorry and never mind.)

You probably can ignore all the treasure chests in the game. Barely anything of worth is in there. In almost all EXE-CREATE game the chest contents do not matter, only a high level and good numbers on weapon matter.

And don't worry about starting topics - if you have a question, you ask it. And to ask t, you need to write it somewhere. It's normal .

Ok. “Dumb” question #2:

How does the diamond scale/armor/dress/etc. affect stats??

Can you write what that scale does?

Usually every piece of armour adds some points to your stats.

Okay, nevermind. I guess I don't need to know (you did say that ignoring treasure chests IS an option), and besides, I think they don't let you look at the item desc before the Destroyer battle (which I obviously haven't beat yet).
